HTS, a leader in the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and computer vision systems market, announced that Fountain Place, owned by Goddard Properties, has deployed HTS VRS systems over all entry and exit lanes to the site for the first Free-Flow parking facility in Texas.
The VRS/LPR systems are integrated into an overall parking management and revenue control system for overall automation of the facility.
Fountain Place is an architectural landmark of the Dallas skyline designed by I.M. Pei and a showcase site for the City of Dallas.
The HTS VRS/LPR enabled parking allows monthlies or subscribers (80% of parkers) to enter the facility without stopping. Transients or non-subscribers enter a phone number into a keypad which is linked to the license plate which is already in the database from the HTS LPR cameras, and when leaving the facility, these transients can use the POF (Pay on Foot) machine and when exiting, the License Plate is again read and the visitor is allowed to exit
