Kapsch TrafficCom names new CEO for its North American operations and renames MARK IV IVHS

Kapsch TrafficCom AG names Christopher F. Murray President & CEO of Kapsch TrafficCom IVHS effective February 1. In that position he will also have responsibility for all other Kapsch TrafficCom operations in the U.S.A., Canada and Mexico.
"We are pleased that Chris Murray has agreed to head our entire North American operations" stated Georg Kapsch, CEO of Kapsch TrafficCom Group. "As the President of MARK IV IVHS, he is experienced in this very specialized business segment. We are confident that under his leadership, Kapsch TrafficCom will be recognized in North America for excellence in service and support, and for providing a comprehensive portfolio of Intelligent Transportation Systems and Electronic Toll Collection solutions which meet the business needs of our clients".

Also effective February 1, 2011, Kapsch TrafficCom Group's MARK IV IVHS companies have been renamed. Collectively, the companies will be called Kapsch TrafficCom IVHS in the U.S. and Canada, with Mexico following shortly. The names of other Kapsch TrafficCom companies in the U.S. are not affected by this change.

Kapsch TrafficCom acquired MARK IV IVHS - the largest supplier of components for electronic toll collection in North America ,- on November 30, 2010. Through this acquisition, Kapsch TrafficCom now offers existing and future customers in North America an expanded and integrated (end-to-end) product and solutions portfolio in Intelligent Transportation Solutions and Electronic Toll Collection. Kapsch will continue to provide a high quality of service and support to existing MARK IV IVHS customers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
