Indigo and Krautli installed IEM LoRa Sensors in the town of Sint-truiden

Sunday 20th of may the town of Sint-truiden inaugurated their renovated marketplace. This renovation project brought the opportunity to introduce an innovative parking solution.

Indigo and Krautli installed IEM LoRa Sensors to manage all the 30 minutes Shop&Go parking spots in a first stage. These parking spots will provide business owners in the town centre the necessary rotation in the on-street parking occupation. The town council also plans to add additional sensor based parking services in the near future.

This project is the first operational installation in Belgium with LoRa sensors that feature double detection capability in order to be adequate for guidance but also allow enforcement based on the timestamps generated by the system. Parkers who exceed the allowed time will be fined by the agents which receive notifications on their handheld devices.
