MobileNOW! Partners with Bethlehem, PA to Drive Mobile Payment Adoption; Yields Highest Results to Date

MobileNOW!, a global innovator and world’s first for mobile payments in parking, and the city of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania has announced record results for mobile payment adoption in February.

Jointly, MobileNOW! and The Bethlehem Parking Authority launched a comprehensive marketing campaign in December 2014 which has led to substantially more use of the MobileNOW! app to pay for parking in Bethlehem.

“February, this year and last, has had the worst weather conditions of the winter months—which perhaps is why people love using the MobileNOW! app. Our customers enjoy paying for and extending parking sessions remotely, where they can be comfortable and hassle-free,” said Kevin Livingston, Executive Director of the Bethlehem Parking Authority. “When our parking patrons receive a citation, our staff encourages them to download the free MobileNOW! app. It’s especially helpful for those who can’t get back to the meter before their session expires. Through a combination of promotions and word of mouth, our mobile payment revenue doubled in February 2015 over February last year.”

MobileNOW! and Bethlehem has partnered with the Bethlehem Downtown Business Association and Chamber of Commerce to increase mobile payment awareness.

Livingston added, “We are thrilled to share that February revenue not only doubled over last year, but it was our highest month for mobile payment revenue since we launched MobileNOW!.”
