MobileNOW! Supports Sustainability in Rancho Cucamonga; Implements Mobile Payments for EV Charging

MobileNOW!, a global technology innovator and world’s first mobile payment solution for parking, will provide mobile payment options for all city-owned electric vehicle (EV) charging locations in Rancho Cucamonga, CA in June 2015.

Rancho Cucamonga is a suburban city in San Bernardino County positioned just 40 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

The City has made concerted efforts to be an electric vehicle-friendly community as part of its Healthy RC initiative to promote a cleaner, greener Rancho Cucamonga.

The City’s EV-friendly efforts include providing 10 public charging stations at key locations, facilitating EV charger infrastructure through the development code, and streamlining the residential EV charger installation permitting process.

The City’s efforts were recognized with Southern California Edison’s EV Champions City designation, the first in the Inland Empire to receive it (at the time, one of only five cities in Edison’s service territory to reach this distinction).

With MobileNOW!, electric vehicle drivers may pay for charging through the free MobileNOW! app or by calling a local phone number.
