Parking guidance system enhances the attractiveness of shopping center “Stadtgalerie Passau”

Thanks to intelligent single-space detection of own parking spaces, Shopping makes more fun and protects the environment with MSR-Traffic.

The largest shopping mall of Passau with 90 shops on three levels is located in the heart of the charming city of three rivers. Cost-effefctive and comfortable you can park here on spacious parking spaces directly on the roof of the city gallery. So far however, the visitors did not know if spaces are free and where are the nearest free parking.

MSR-Traffic equips the parking garage with ultrasonic sensors and LED-displays.

The lower deck is fully equipped with ultrasonic sensors above each parking space - these signal informed already from a distance via an integrated LED, whether the parking space is free or occupied. At the same time on the top level, the in- and outgoing cars detected with the help of ultrasonic counting-sensor. This data is sent to the ParkGard control center, which manages the number of free parking and extensive evaluation for the operator provides. Via dynamic LED-displays, which are in permanent communication with the individual parking spaces is that visitors are headed to the nearest available parking space.
