Singen has opted for intelligent parking guidance from MSR-Traffic. Whether shopping, visiting the town hall or taking a relaxing walk in Singen’s city park at the Landesgartenschau - finding a parking space in the underground car park next to the city hall or the newly built Herz-Jesu-Platz garage is easy.
Several hundred parking spaces in Singen have been converted with single-space sensor technology. MSR-Traffic’s ultrasonic sensors record the availability of each parking space and detect the occupancy status. The sensors have up to three different-colored status indications. Five ultra-bright LEDs per color indicate the state of the parking space. The sensor and the LEDs are integrated into a robust housing.
MSR-Traffic provides two different models of ultrasonic sensors for indoor applications. Both are mounted below the ceiling, on plaster, or a rail. The design sensor is placed in the middle of the parking space and the cross sensor can be installed above the edge of the lane - this allows even better visibility of the LEDs for search traffic.
The ultrasonic sensor "Design" is used in the underground car park of the town hall and the ultrasonic sensor "Cross" is used in the parking garage at Herz-Jesu Platz.
