First STRADA in South Africa

The biggest issue facing the city was cash flow, in terms of investment, as well as parking management (collection, enforcement).

For this the city needed a partner with the ability to deliver all this in the best way possible.
For the first time, Vryheid decided to outsource their entire On-Street parking operation to a private operator. PARKEONs local partner, ITRAMAS South Africa, won the bid.

The city of Vryheid is pioneering a unique solar based technology, in a country facing increasing energy supply difficulties.
The solution proposed is based on the solar powered STRADA pay station, connected to the PARKEON Datacenter through GPRS.

ITRAMAS South Africa uses myParkfolio, the latest internet based parking management software, delivered by Parkeon for supervision, management and reporting of the entire scheme.

Thanks to this project, the city is rapidly regaining control over their parking infrastructure. The revenue stream expected has been adjusted and increased: it is now more than double the previous
projected figures
