Parkeon integrates Verrus pay by phone service to create e-ticketing system for parking industry

New solution enables operators to combine real and virtual parking schemes and link them directly to enforcement systems.
Parkeon, the worlds leading provider of parking space management solutions, has collaborated with Verrus, the pioneer of pay by phone services, to expand the Parkfolio Neo parking management solution with an e-ticketing module for the parking industry. The new platform enables operators to integrate the management and operation of Parkeon Pay & Display (P&D) installations with virtual parking solutions, e.g. mobile phones and web-based payment schemes, including digital permits and on-line tickets.

The new solution integrates Verrus pay by phone scheme with the back office functions of Parkeons well-proven Parkfolio Neo P&D centralised management system. This enables it to reconcile all financial transactions and statistical data in a common report format, creating a total parking management solution. Open-ended system architecture allows further applications to be added easily and cost-effectively, while providing an open interface for enforcement providers.

The expanded Parkfolio solution gives operators the best of both worlds, enabling them to maintain their P&D infrastructure, whilst creating a platform on which the virtual parking solutions that are emerging can be added, says Bob Barnes, Parkeons UK Geomarket Director. It means that managers can keep their options open, knowing that however parking revenue collection evolves, their systems are effectively future-proof.
