ParkMobile Expands into the Pacific Northwest with Hood River, Oregon Launch

ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in the U.S., today announced a partnership with the City of Hood River, Oregon to implement the company’s smart mobility app at approximately 700 multi-vendor, on-street parking spaces throughout the city’s downtown area.

Stickers and signage will be posted around Hood River to educate drivers on how to pay for parking using the app. ParkMobile is a free app available for iPhone and Android devices, and users can additionally register at parkmobile.io.

After setting up their accounts, users can immediately begin using the system with their registered devices.

Users simply enter the zone and space number posted on nearby signage, select the duration of time they wish to park, and hit the “Start Parking” button to begin their sessions. In Hood River, ParkMobile’s zone number will be #85012 at all spaces. ParkMobile allows customers to pay for, view, update, and add time to their parking sessions from their mobile devices while on-the-go. The app also notifies users when their parking sessions are about to expire, encouraging them to add more time with the click of a button if needed.

ParkMobile has a growing audience in Oregon, with parking locations available in Portland, Bend, and Eugene, as well as the neighboring cities of Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The app is also widely available in other major U.S. cities, such as New York City, Chicago, Miami, and Atlanta.
