Portier Smooth the Travels at Helsinki Airport

Portier at Helsinki Airport

Helsinki Airport was opened just before the Olympic Games in 1952. Since then it has experienced extensive development work and today the airport is the fourth busiest out of the Nordic countries, in terms of passenger numbers. The airport handled close to 21 million passengers in 2018, including 17.9 million international passengers and 3 million domestic passengers. On average, the airport handles around 350 departures a day.

The airport is operated by state-owned Finavia. The Helsinki Airport Development Programme, launched in 2014, includes expanding the terminal buildings as well as the parking facilities for the growing number of passengers.

Portier has been Finavia’s trusted partner since 2009. Portier continues to serve driving passengers and employees by providing parking guidance in various parking garages at the Helsinki Airport.

The latest addition to the parking premises is the P3 Premium parking, which is the most conveniently located parking garage and it offers a quick and easy parking experience for busy travellers. Portier’s ultrasonic space-specific parking sensors were installed in the P3 Premium parking garage. Parking sensors show either a green or red LED for the driver trying to locate an available place to park. You can always check online the number of available spaces in the garages and even reserve your space beforehand to have it guaranteed when arriving at the airport.

There is a tunnel from the P3 Premium garage connected directly to the terminal, so come rain or shine, people can access the airport from the premium parking area and return very easily. Smooth traveling starts by parking your car!
