Comfort of the future: Charging station at the car park

Electrically powered cars, which are silently moving private transport on green power without CO2 emission, are still rare; but the electro-mobility will keep on gaining acceptance in view of the ever increasing CO2 requirements.
Stromtanken[1].jpgSüdpark GmbH of Großbettlingen, Germany, as a forward-thinking car park operator, is already setting the course for the suitable operational concept: charging while parking and the operator retains the tariff authority.

The launch of the charging station in the car park Am Bahnhof in Reutlingen, Germany, at the beginning of October represents the second installation for car park operator and owner of Südpark Jürgen Brixner. The premiere of the first integrated charging station was celebrated with the launch of the charging station in the car park Pliensauturm in Esslingen, Germany. A further and thus third launch of a charging station is planned for the car park Oper in Bonn, Germany, at the beginning of November. Jürgen Brixner is not excluding further installations and anticipates: If the need for charging stations rises within the next few years we will be able to draw on important experiences.

The special feature of the integrated charging station is that the customer switches the charging station on and off with the parking ticket and then pays the parking and charging fee at the automatic pay station for parking tickets. Very comfortable. This means no additional costs for the authorisation- and charging infrastructure for the car park operator; and customers do not have to get used to a new system. Contrary to other systems in the market, with entervo eMobility the car park operator keeps the tariff authority for the additional service within his parking area.

Developer and service provider of this integrated charging station is the system house Scheidt & Bachmann. entervo eMobility connects the charging infrastructure, authorisation of the charging pillar and payment with standardised operating elements of the parking system. The system was first introduced as a prototype at the Intertraffic 2010 in Amsterdam. With his farsightedness Mr. Brixner has reacted immediately and is the first to deploy this integrative system throughout Germany, if not worldwide, sums up Mr. Samuel Spaltner, Division Manager Germany, Scheidt & Bachmann.
