Aston Martin St. Gallen, the brand‘s only exclusive dealer in Switzerland, is launching the building phase of a flagship new dealership, which will include an automated parking system (APS) designed and built by Skyline Parking AG. The dealership is scheduled to open in early spring 2016.

The exclusive new luxury dealership designed by Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, will have up to eight vehicles on display in an ultraluxurious showroom, combining typical Swiss characteristics, plus a customer lounge, merchandise display, sales areas and a fully equipped service center. As one of a number of high-tech features intended to optimize efficiency, the automated parking system from Skyline will provide a safe and secure environment for these exclusive cars while minimizing land usage.Skyline Parking to supply APS for Aston Martin St. Gallen

Dr Andreas Baenziger and Dr Florian Kamelger, dealer principals of Aston Martin St. Gallen: „We are proud to be able to build this new-style flagship Aston Martin dealership. The superb work of the design team at Aston Martin, especially Marek Reichman, as well as the excellent process with all the local planners and partners involved is what has made this project possible.”

A luxury dealership like this one needs an exclusive way to display and protect its inventory that matches the prestige of its cars. This is where the Skyline L-Park design comes in. Located on sloping terrain with two underground levels, the Skyline APS will provide 90 spaces for automatically parking various-sized cars. By incorporating parking spaces of three different heights and four different lengths across six levels, the APS manages to squeeze all these parking spaces into an area of less than 303 square metres. Given a system height of 14 metres, this means 47 m3 per parking space.

The Skyline L-Park for Aston Martin St. Gallen will feature a double-depth, double-sided parking configuration with two entry/exit lobbies. The Skyline system and its unique car transport mechanism is based on tried and tested systems in technology parks and is able to retrieve cars very swiftly in just 45 to 65 seconds, as reliable as Swiss clockwork.

Richard Denzler, CEO of Skyline Parking: „We are honored to be working with such a prestigious brand as Aston Martin on this flagship project. Thanks to our highly customer-focused attitude and ability to provide assistance in funding the project, the Skyline team were successful. In the end, we used the superior design flexibility of Skyline automated parking systems to develop an extremely space efficient and secure automated solution that perfectly complements Aston Martin’s unique and ambitious dealership image.“
