Streetline and Siemens Partner on Parking Solution
New "go-to-market" Deal Will Leverage Siemens Services Subsidiary Republic ITS to deploy Streetline Smart Parking Solutions
Streetline, Inc. and Siemens announced today at the IPI Conference and Expo in Pittsburgh that Streetline and Republic Intelligent Transportation Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Siemens, will work together on the installation and maintenance of Streetline's smart parking platform including its wireless sensor network as it expands throughout the United States.
Streetline is a global provider of smart parking solutions for cities, airports, universities and private garages, while Siemens is a leader in the U.S. transportation services and support industry. The relationship will leverage Streetline's smart parking technology and Republic's intelligent transportation services, creating a new "go to market" platform that will strengthen customer service and enable market expansion.
"The installation and transportation expertise Siemens can provide is critical as we deploy our sensor network in multiple locations and ensure our smart parking platform is being properly installed and maintained in locations throughout the United States," said Zia Yusuf, CEO of Streetline.
"Smart parking solutions can significantly reduce traffic and congestion in cities, improving air quality and in turn quality of life," said Terry Heath, vice president, Complete Transportation, Siemens Industry, Inc. "We look forward to leveraging our service and maintenance capabilities to help Streetline's innovative smart parking platform continue its aggressive growth into new markets."
This partnership represents the second time Streetline and Siemens have collaborated. Last fall the companies joined forces to jointly market a range of smart parking products and services for municipalities, airports, universities and private parking operators.
