New parking features in UK shopping centres

At three shopping centres in the United Kingdom ‘ParkID systems’ of Imtech Traffic & Infra (by WPS) have been installed. The system was selected because of its innovative features and easy maintenance.

ParkID makes lives easier. For example using anpr (automatic number plate recognition) to allow regular users to enter without using a ticket and pay using value cards. Other features are targeted marketing at entries, online payment, integration with loyalty schemes as well as detailed dwell time and demographic reporting.

Shopping centres

Festival Place in Basingstoke is an award winning centre with 2,700 parking spaces serving 102,000m2 of retail space. Their decision to use WPS was based on our commitment to match the centre’s focus on improving their customers’ experience.

Freshney Place in Grimsby has been a WPS BC200 customer for over 10 years and was excited to be able to use the new features that came with their ParkID system to improve the experience for their 14,000,000 customers per year.

Eastgate Shopping Centre Inverness has over 1,400 spaces serving over 9,000,000 visitors a year. Located in the Highlands of Scotland, Eastgate identified system reliability as one of its key priorities.

Staff at all sites commented that the system is easy to maintain.
