Keith Mortimer

Keith Mortimer is the founder and Director of Wyeval Ltd, an independent company located in Monmouth, South Wales. Previously Keith was the UK Chief Executive of an international company, contributing to technology-based telematics and tolling applications in the UK and overseas. He was also responsible for developing the ITS market base for a respected UK systems and software company, and as a private consultant has assisted companies to develop successful proposals for strategic ITS business. Keiths experience in ITS-based programmes includes DfT DIRECTS Road User Charging research; Cooperative Vehicle Highway Systems; Highways Agency Active Traffic Management; Incident Detection; Transport for London DTES and Congestion Charging development; European ITS Projects. Recent initiatives include TfL Congestion Charging and Low Emission Zone Framework Contracts, and the Innovation Platform award by the Technology Strategy Board for the collaborative 3GRSE project. His engineering and business development skills were founded in high-integrity electronics systems design and control engineering for space systems and technology-based defence programmes, including: inertial navigation and integrated ship data systems; countermeasures technologies; command control & information systems, working for UK, American and European companies and with direct customers in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. Keith has a strong personal interest in the social, economic and environmental impact that the intelligent application of technologies can make on our lives. He is an active supporter of ITS (UK) and is the elected Chairman of the ITS (UK) Road User Charging Interest Group.
