Forsee launches AMMAPS in Kerala

'Forsee' today announced the launch of its automated automobile parking system in Kerala.
Speaking to reporters here, Forsee Chairman Joy Abraham, who developed the Automated Multilevel Modular Automobile Parking System (AMMAPS), claimed the 'unique' indigenous product, designed using an innovative mix of mechanical and electronic systems, was the most economical among the parking systems in the world.

He said the existing parking systems could only handle upto 500 vehicles and had high operating costs compared to AMMAPS which could hold upto and over 999 vehicles at a cost one-fifth of the expenditure incurred by other parking systems.

''A space of 82x82 feet could accomodate 30 vehicles on each floor and the system could be customised as per the reqirements of the clients,'' he noted.

Mr Abraham added the system had a modular feature and could be quickly erected and removed or upgraded or downgraded, if necessary.

He said the system could be installed at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh per slot and built over-ground, under-ground or a mix of both.

The firm had proposals from companies in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Middle East and was planning to extend its services to other States in the future.

Kochi-based technology firm 'Zyberops', is developing the technology to automate AMMAPS and integrate it with various communication, security and other systems.
