We’ve also been busy blogging this month. We explored the role that Artificial Intelligence can play in unlocking smart parking by taking a closer look at Belgium’s smartest car park. We also considered ways that the parking industry can incorporate blockchain to create efficiencies and open up potential.

Following the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic, Intertraffic Amsterdam has been rescheduled to 23 - 26 March 2021. 

Parking Sense and ParkHelp merged to form ParkHelp Technologies, creating the widest and most unified range of parking sensors available to customers on the market today. ParkHelp’s sensors will be fully integrated into Parking Sense’s range to deliver an expanded product line that will position the company as the premier provider of parking guidance systems.

FlashParking has introduced a revolutionary Hardware-as-a-Service purchasing model, giving operators financially risk-free access to the latest mobility technology and helping them to future-proof their facilities. FlashParking’s new packages provide installation, maintenance and support services on a month-to-month pricing structure.

Through the use of LPR technology and incorporation of e-Ticketing to the AIMS Parking Management Suite, parking enforcement officers can now issue citations remotely, helping to improve safety and reduce patrolling costs.

APCOA, Innogy, and UFODRIVE collaborated on a coordinated smart city strategy, paving the way to new urban mobility. UFODRIVE users can now rent electric vehicles from APCOA’s Mall of Berlin car park, transforming the parking facility into a mobility hub.

Following its acquisition of sPARK, Arrive has radically changed the way we park by creating a smart parking recommendation engine that suggests the best on-street or off-street place to park through voice technology, in-dash system or mobile phone.
