The multi-storey car park consists of six parking decks with three external ramps, one for regular incoming traffic, one for traffic leaving the car park and an adjustable one to accommodate the changing flow of traffic in line with working hours.
Inspired by the street name “Crown” the golden hue, the form and the layout of the powder-coated aluminium façade were chosen to replicate a “crown”.

The MSCP consists of three parking decks, the ground floor and two suspended decks, and is erected in steel frame construction with in-situ reinforced concrete floors cast onto metal liner sheets.
With a footprint of 96 m in width by 48 m in length the car park s a split-level building, nearly 20 m in height and with 7 parking levels which in total provide 1300 parking bays for the visiting public
The car park superstructure is clad in perforated steel panels. On the western elevation, the perforation has a pattern with different diameter holes to form the famous image of the screaming girls at a Beatles concert.
The car park features 1380 parking bays over six levels and will serve as a staff car park for British Airways and Gate Gourmet. The car park has been future proofed for a vertical extension of another 3 levels.
The open slat façade of the car park is a HUBER product which is air and light permeable. It blends in very well with the colored cassette elements of the staircases and contributes to the high-class character of the car park.
This project is a so-called split level MSCP. Like all HUBER projects, it is a composite steel construction using hot-dip galvanized steel components. This building technique is economical and very quick.
The staff and client car park at SEGRO DHL offer 480 parking bays on three levels. There are several E-charging stations on the top deck. Colored walkways guarantee safe exit to the staircases or the 10 person lift.
