Installation Foreman (Charlotte, US)

The position is responsible for planning and managing all on-site installations for the local branch. Installation Foreman/ Project Manager will work closely with all branch service personnel to complete projects within specified budget while meeting all company quality standards. Installation Foreman will seek to maximize revenues and minimize excess costs while maintaining the highest level of excellence in installation quality and customer satisfaction. Installation Foreman/ Project Manager is expected to perform job duties in a manner that creates a harmonious working environment through open communication and involvement with all branch and corporate staff.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all branch installations.
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable all installation staff.
  • Responsible for budget, quality, personnel, technical requirements, and customer interaction on all branch installations.
  • Adhere to all company installation Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintains quality projects by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
  • Assist sales during the bidding process, as necessary.
  • Coordinate project labor requirements and schedule project labor needs with General Manager and Service Manager to ensure labor is properly budgeted for each project to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Work with sales to establish a written scope of work for all subcontractors.
  • Understand and comply with all license and permit regulations.
  • Interface with the customer during the entire project to show strong management practices.
  • Coordinate and manage all customer training for the project.
  • Follow and enforce all OSHA safety practices.
  • Make sure project acceptance and “sign-off” documents are completed.
  • Make sure “hand-off” to service and support department is complete.
  • Maintain a professional communication style and attitude at all times.
  • Do not discuss confidential information with Service Level employees.
  • Additional duties as assigned by General Manager.

Accountability and Performance Measures

  • Meets or exceeds the completion date of projects as measured by the project schedule.
  • Deliver projects to the highest standards as measured by a reduction in warranty service calls and the ability to maintain a minimal, acceptable level of Warranty service calls month-to-month and year over year.
  • Maintains detailed and complete administrative records of all installations to include: scope of work documents, change order requests, project timesheets, and other company documents.

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports to General Manager.
  • Works closely with all technical staff on project staffing and Sales Executive on sales initiatives.
  • Works as a partner with the National Accounts team when directed.


  • Can plan, organize, and effectively direct an installation crew on small and large projects.
  • Can supervise and project manage complex multiple installation projects simultaneously while maintaining all acceptable standards.
  • Strong crew leader who sets performance expectation and has respect for his/her team.
  • Good facilitation, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical needs of a project and make quick and logical decisions and adjustments to keep the project on schedule and on budget.
  • Strong drive and resilience, team player, leader, ability to work efficiently under pressure, task-oriented, ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or six years of project management experience with PARCS installations, in construction or related field or IT related field.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • OSHA certification preferred.

Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work outdoors in excess conditions as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
  • May be required to lift and/or move in excess of 50lbs regularly, in excess of 75lbs on occasion.
  • Must be able to lead, coach and manage an installation team in a firm, enthusiastic and efficient manner.
