Contract Operations Manager - part time role - 20 hours per week
About The Role
As the Part time Operations Manager, you will be the principle contact for APCOA with clients, therefore taking responsibility for leading, managing and delivering the contract performance for all the car park management, revenue generation and revenue protection services as required by the contract with the client. As the owner of the contract’s budget, the contract manager will be responsible for ensuring that the commercial performance of the contract meets and exceeds the commercial expectations of the APCOA stakeholders.
What you’ll do
Plan and direct the operations of the APCOA personnel to ensure compliance with standards and operating procedures and the requirements of the contract.
Direct data gathering, auditing and analysis for measuring the performance of the contract and compliance to operating procedures to ensure all revenues are being wholly accounted for.
Develop, complete and present the contract’s budget.
Be responsive to the client’s needs and work in partnership with the client to support the delivery of their business plan.
Attend regular meetings with the client to review service delivery and financial performance.
Resolve all operational problems within the scope of the contract and prepare responses within established timeframes to all service complaints and contractual issues raised
Develop creative and innovative operational proposals which extend the scope of APCOA’s services with the client and/or improve the efficiency of APCOA’s current service standard.
Recruit, discipline and reward staff and managers as appropriate and respond to any staff grievances.
Develop and implement one-to-one assessments for all staff, identify and respond to staff and managers training needs.
Encourage and stimulate aspirational staff and managers.
What you'll bring
Proven multi-disciplinary experience in operational, contract, commercial and project management and management exposure in a client facing role – minimum of 2 years contract management experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at individual, team and group level and equally comfortable and effective in communicating with front line staff, managers, directors and members of the public
Capable of producing informative reports and effectively communicating orally and in written form
Numerate and literate and experienced with Microsoft Office tools
Strong leadership skills and people management skills
Ability to motivate and train staff to produce positive results
Able to build, develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal support services.
