To patrol the hospital site ensuring the safety and security of the site and site users. At the same time having an active role in the efficient running of the car park facilities and control room operations, whilst delivering continuous improvement in all these areas.
To provide support to management team and act as point of contact between APCOA and the client, to provide the focus, direction and leadership required to ensure that the contract meets the expected service level performance, to be responsible for managing daily incidents and tasks.
What you’ll do
To assist the contract management team in ensuring the smooth delivery of the contract with operational responsibility for day to day running of all allocated areas of responsibility
Management and planning of resources including ensuring effective deployment of staff throughout the contract ensuring operational requirements are met
Continuous monitoring of activity, involving regular reporting on Key Performance Indicators to the Contract Manager, identifying trends and instigating remedial action where necessary
Ensure the highest level of incident reporting ensuring relevant parties are updated as required
Ensure the highest levels of customer service is maintained
Resolve all operational problems within the scope of the contract and prepare responses within established timeframes, to all service complaints and contractual issues raised
Develop, coach and monitor the team in relation to operational skills
Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety and environmental policies
Set objectives, conduct appraisals and identifying training needs of operational staff
Monitor and manage staff absences and lateness
Recruit, discipline and deal with grievances within the contract, ensuring all procedures are followed in line with company policy
Ensure quality standards are maintained including ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times throughout the contract in line with current procedures
Develop beneficial relationship with the client, ensure overall client satisfaction and attend client meetings where necessary
Ensure that your place of work is maintained to the highest standard presenting a professional image to customers and clients
Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports in line with the client and APCOA’s reporting requirements
Present a positive personal image of APCOA to your team and clients
Meet and exceed were ever possible the safety, security and service of the Security Team, our client and the property.
Regularly patrol and physically check all areas of site internal and external ensuring that all areas are secured as per site instructions using patrol logging system.
Physically check all buildings to ensure doors and windows are secured / locked as required.
Check specifically identified rooms and all areas for fire or fire hazards.
Undertake whenever tasked, checks and searches of individuals or vehicles entering or leaving the hospital site
Ensure that vehicle users conform to the clients laid down traffic regulations (Inc car parks), and notify the parking team to enforce the Parking Enforcement Notice scheme where non-conformity occurs
Deal with all enquiries made by telephone or by other means from the client, its representatives or visitors as required.
Assist the Contract Manager with tasks or problems within the car parks or traffic management as requested, support members of the team and attend regular team meetings
Act as the principle point of contact between APCOA and the client for daily operation and service performance
Lead and contribute on the day-to-day management of the service operation and plan for future/one-off special events
