Senior Accountant (Austin, US)

Based out of our Austin, Texas FLASH HQ, the Senior Accountant reporting to the Controller, will perform recurring monthly & quarterly closing activities in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring appropriate financial controls and compliance with local GAAP. This person will be detail oriented, dedicated and embrace the challenges a fast-growing organization brings.

What you'll do:

  • Perform and review general ledger tasks and journal entries associated with GAAP/IFRS month-end close
  • Assisting with accurate and timely preparation of financial statements/reports
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Advising other staff members regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
  • Providing information to outside tax preparers to prepare annual and quarterly federal and state returns
  • Reviewing, investigating, and correcting errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
  • Conducting studies and submitting recommendations for improving accounting processes, procedures and controls
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of related accounting experience either in public accounting or industry
  • Experience with NetSuite (or other similar ERP), Concur, and Salesforce
  • Ability to work in a team environment; ability to collaborate with team members to meet deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/assist others
  • Strong computer and analytical skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Good organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to hard deadlines
