Database Administrator (F / M)

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the databases of the information system and / or the Datacenter. It provides the application teams and / or internal teams with support and maintains the databases in operational condition to meet the quality of service commitments made to its customers.


  • Guarantee the availability and integrity of databases through daily operation, implementation and management of a backup policy.
  • Manage in synchronization with the application teams the evolutions of the database engines and the updates.
  • Participate in projects and production releases carried out in the IT and / or Datacenter perimeter.
  • Be a source of proposals on the deployment architecture and on the optimization of database performance.
  • Provide support on the databases part.
  • Carry out a technological watch and be a force of proposal.
  • Participate in analyzes and problem solving.
  • Work in collaboration with the other teams of the group's database administrators
  • Develop automation, monitoring, reporting tools
  • Keep a CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase) up to date


  • Holder of an engineering or higher technician degree with a specialty in IT / Development / Database.
  • You have confirmed knowledge in PostgreSQL and Mysql databases, and on high availability (Pgpool, replication). Oracle experience would be a plus.
  • You have skills in system administration, in particular Linux and Windows, and basic knowledge of networks / TCPIP, scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python.
  • You are fluent in English. You are open to the on-call system.
  • Recognized for your adaptability and technical curiosity, you are aware of technological developments and know how to assimilate them.
  • Recognized for your rigor, your sense of method and precision, you know how to intervene quickly but taking into account security issues in the event of an incident.
  • You like working in a team
  • Ability to synthesize the needs of IT specialists or users in order to best meet them.
