We are currently looking for someone that will be reporting to the Director of Global Operations and Technical Support. The Senior Manager Supply Chain and Logistics will lead and manage key aspects of the product and non-product supply chains such as procurement, logistics/delivery, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution of goods. The selected person will oversee the demand planning process, provide a statistical baseline forecast to facilitate the sales forecasting process, optimize inventory levels, drive obsolescence management, and proactively address issues that can affect supply.
The Senior Manager will work closely with our Production, Finance, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Integrated Product Groups (IPGs), IT, and the rest of the Customer Experience teams to ensure that we are tightly aligned throughout the various products’ lifecycles – sales, new product introduction, production, support, and maintenance, etc.
Develop, design, and implement supply chain business models to support organizational requirements
Lead and coordinate the day-to-day execution and long-term strategic vision & activities of the supply chain, procurement, logistics, and sub-contracting functions
Direct and manage the delivery of products and services from external suppliers, including all raw materials and finished parts, equipment, commodities, and subcontractors
Build relationships at the executive level with suppliers to ensure that problems, issues, and improvement opportunities are addressed in a timely and effective manner
Oversee all logistics activities, including inbound receipt, storage, kitting, and parts distribution within the production facility
Develop and implement supply chain systems, policies, and procedures that drive a thorough supplier selection process, supplier development and performance as well as establish timely supplier evaluation and feedback to ensure continuous improvement throughout the supply chain
Develop and manage all key performance indicators related to supply chain, procurement, logistics, and sub-contract management performance and inventory
Be accountable for inventory level and product cost tracking and work in collaboration with Finance and IPGs to improve these metrics
Actively support the implementation of a new ERP system (and peripheral systems) for all aspects related to supply chain and logistics
Continually assess supply and delivery risks and build appropriate mitigation strategies and contingency plans
Manage activities of staff including goal setting, performance evaluations, development plans, succession planning, compensation, and time management
Ensure the team’s skillsets meet current and future demands by providing regular feedback and coaching
A minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, industrial engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of the electronic industry, procurement of components, assemblies, and contract manufacturing.
Excellent business acumen, financial analysis, and IT skills
Solid understanding and experience with ERP systems
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and diverse business
Exceptional communications skills with an innate ability to impact and influence people;
Understanding of international standards
Technical background in engineering or computer science considered an asset
Manufacturing experience or knowledge considered an asset
Must be fluent in French and English both verbally and written
