A skilled software engineer with services, database, and networking skills that is responsible for payment processing systems. IPS Group requires skills in many fields and requires skilled engineers to work with a wide variety of IoT technologies. Will work with head-end systems handling payment processing and payment terminal integration. Must be skilled at debugging, and solving hard performance and communications problems quickly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain middleware services integrating to variety of payment processors
Design, build, and maintain head-end services for managing payment terminals
Design, build, and maintain head-end services for processing and analyzing payment data
Design, build, and maintain services for providing B2B interaction
Build, package, and deploy software suite to development and test environments
Test and validate software and processes on both meter hardware and simulator environments
Aid with documentation and test script execution for certifications and evaluations such as PCI, PA-DSS, and Common Criteria
The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
Proficiency in C# and .NET
Proficiency with databases, SQL queries, T-SQL
Proficiency with networking, TCP/IP, and SSL
Proficiency with .NET’s TPL, LINQ, data serialization, and reflection
Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API
Knowledgeable of C/C++
Develop efficient, maintainable code that is well documented using tools such as UML
Familiarity with Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Agile, Confluence)
Experience with GIT and distributed version control systems
Able to work independently or collaboratively, and efficiently meet schedules
Ability to understand conceptual concepts and formalize them into design documentations, knowledge base articles, and other supporting documentation
Excellent communications: oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal
Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls, and other electronic communications
Must respond proactively to training, technical support, and customer service needs in line with company guidelines
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and organized
Be a team player and participate in mutual teaching and learning across the team
Education and/or Experience:
BS in Computer Science
10+ years of software systems design and implementation
5+ years of software deployment and product delivery
5+ years of database development
5+ years of ETL and interfacing with third party systems
Must have experience with client and server systems
Must have experience with service-oriented architecture
Experience with payment processor integration
Experience with transforming and parsing ISO 8583 or Base24 message formats
Experience with processing settlement and reconciliation data
Experience with store and forward of offline payments
Experience with publish-subscribe patterns
Must be able to show or describe previous work as well as level of involvement in these projects
Must be a hands-on developer with skills in helping and working with others
