The Spirit of the Position

The Government Services Business Development Director is responsible for leading new business opportunity outreach, sales, and marketing activities. This position will play an active role in the creation of the new business development deal pipeline and responsible for managing opportunities into successful new contracts.

Principal Job Duties

  • Responsible for identifying, ranking, developing and managing prospects and then successfully bringing the prospect through the sales pipeline to a successful close.
  • Lead the preparation and review of proposals for new locations and contracts.
  • Work with regional offices to evaluate current and future opportunities and ensure solutions are delivered to support internal and external client needs.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and managing marketing plans for local and national portfolios.
  • Work with regional offices to ensure commitment and adherence to the marketing plan for their locations.
  • Responsible for ongoing relationship management with clients for whom LAZ Parking has already started work.
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual reports as required.
  • Monitor, review, and analyze specific growth markets.
  • Assist the operations team with the transition of all-new locations added to the portfolio.
  • Implementation and completion of other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the portfolio’s operation.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Travel

  • 50% of time traveling to locations across the U.S. in pursuit of new business and supporting existing business.

Education

  • BA/BS Degree required, preferably in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing.

Experience

  • 3+ years in a sales and business development role.
  • 3- 5 years of parking experience industry is required.

Skills

  • Strong in-person and phone relationship-building skills required.
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships with all levels of the organization and client organizations.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Demonstrates the ability to seek improvement.

Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills.
