The Spirit of the Position:

Through direction of the Director of Accounting, the Regional Accountant will support Corporate Accounting and the respective REGION with the primary responsibility of the accuracy and timeliness in reporting corporate financial information.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of all revenue and expense accounts for the selected region(s), prepare and post necessary monthly closing entries.
  • Monthly review and reconciliation of the income statement
  • Manage the closing and reporting process for your region of responsibility.
  • Prepare monthly budget to actual analysis of region(s) under your responsibility.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with Management Accounting counter-part for assigned region to ensure accurate financial reporting of revenues and related expenses.
  • Create and maintain analytical reports for regional performance as well as unique and tailored reports to both internal and external users of financial statements
  • Reconcile/review monthly credit card reports and bank statements within region(s) of responsibility.
  • Monthly preparation and filing of region required tax filings including but not limited to Sales and Use Tax and Personal Property Tax returns
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations monthly for all non-fixed asset accounts
