The Spirit of the Position: The Operational Research Analyst is responsible for entering security data as assigned accurately and precisely to ensure reporting without errors for various projects within the Chicago Parking Meters operation. This includes the responsibility of creating forms and reports for all security related items and analyzing and reconciling reports to find security variances under the direction of the Safety & Security Manager.
Principal Job Duties:
Enter data into various systems including CANVAS, CWO and Microsoft Excel.
Prepares reconciliation report from various systems including CWO, Microsoft Excel, Cyberlock, and Guardian
Researches CWO and CANVAS for variances including cross verification pass collection history, collection schedule, and e-lock reporting.
Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, and annual security reconciliation reports as required
Responsible for learning new technologies to ensure the efficient flow of data throughout the operation.
Compares data entered with source documents, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
Deletes incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data.
Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.
Keep records of work completed.
Communicates all security related questions, concerns, and requests to department managers for clarification and reconciliation purposes.
Assists the Security and Audit Manager in any special projects or assignments
Other related duties as assigned.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
1-3 years in security auditing or analytics.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
Fluent Microsoft Office skills; especially Excel.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving ability
