We are looking for an experienced customer focused flexible individual, to join our busy parking team and to provide overall support to the County’s Senior Parking Officer and Parking Manager.
The successful candidate must demonstrate that they have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The post holder will primarily be responsible for collecting and entering survey and performance data onto computerised or manual systems. The post holder will also produce and maintain various parking related spreadsheets / databases and will analyse data and indicate patterns in the data to make recommendations to supervisors and managers within GCCs Parking Team.
The successful candidate will also be dealing with enquiries over the telephone and in writing with regards to parking related matters therefore, being able to interrogate records and give accurate information is paramount. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can stay calm under pressure and take a diplomatic approach. You will have excellent IT skills and a robust knowledge of Word and Excel along with the ability to quickly learn to use bespoke software.
In addition, strong motivational and organisational skills are required to ensure that deadlines are met. The ability to Work as part of a team and to the council’s core values is vital.
Assist the Senior Parking Officer Contract Supervisor and Parking Manager in the application of Civil Parking Enforcement throughout the County. This includes particular attention to parking specific data and asset management through a joint database.This includes application of parking schemes and Traffic Regulation Orders as well as Park & Ride.
The post holder is to adhere to all health and safety instructions and take all reasonable care not to do anything that might endanger themselves or others; to report to their line manager any dangerous situations in the workplace or outside the office, any shortcomings in health and safety arrangements. To post holder will adhere to the sections lone working policy.
As part of the annual appraisal, outcome based targets will be developed in conjunction with the post holder and will supplement this job profile. The job profile will be subject to regularreview and the council reserves its right to amend or add to the accountabilities listed above.
