Do you want to learn hands-on about how HR and Recruitment work in practice at a start-up? Then read on!

What Are You Going To Do?

You will become a full team member within the HR & Recruitment team and you will delve into various HR & Recruitment topics. The HR & Recruitment team consists of an HR Manager and a Talent Scout. Maybe not the largest team, but a team with a lot of knowledge and challenges. Both HR and Recruitment have several projects on the agenda to take Human Resources to the next level. We started setting up HR within Parkos since December 2019. That is a unique opportunity for you to experience how this works and help pioneer. There are many opportunities to participate in fun and challenging projects where you get a lot of freedom and can learn quickly. Depending on your internship assignment from school, you will participate in the HR & Recruitment team for 4 to 5 days.

Your HR Internship Will Cover Aspects Such As:

  • Inflow (recruitment and selection, employer branding and labor market communication)
  • Transfer (assessing & rewarding, absenteeism, talent, and knowledge management)
  • Outflow (off-boarding)
  • Implementing and managing a new HRM system

These are just examples of your work. If you have mandatory assignments from your study program, we can discuss whether these assignments are possible with us. A graduation assignment is only possible if you can contribute 80% of the working week.

When I entered the Parkos office, I immediately felt part of the Parkos family. Everyone came to say hi and chat with the new face, the HR intern. This has made me feel welcome from the start.

The start-up mentality is something where you can learn a lot as a student and intern; you are allowed to actively participate and contribute to the implementation of HR policies, processes, and advice. It's super cool to see that things you've come up with, using the theory you learned at school, are then used within an organization. You will also become acquainted with the different levels in an organization and you will be active at these levels, such as sitting in a meeting with the managing directors or welcoming a new colleague.

You also work with colleagues with years of experience who leave you free to form your working method that you feel comfortable with. Not only have I been able to develop professionally, but also on a personal level there is a lot of attention for you and I have been able to develop myself. If you enjoy working on many different projects in a short period, speaking English and writing is no problem and you want to develop yourself as an HR professional, Parkos is 100% the organization for you.

Job requirements

You are a good fit in the team if you enjoy speaking English and show a lot of initiative. You also have the following features/skills:

  • Structured; You know when your projects are finished and what steps you need to take to deliver them on time. We can help you determine the priorities.
  • Ambitious; You want to do more than just your school assignments during your time at Parkos. We will help you to leave our organization as a junior HR advisor. You dare to step outside your comfort zone and make mistakes.
  • Independent; You actively draw tasks towards you and you can also perform these tasks yourself. We work part-time so that you will only work on projects 1 day a week.
  • Studious; You want to get the most out of your internship and also dare to ask critical questions why we do business in a certain way.
  • Fair; You indicate when you cannot get anywhere and ask for help.

In addition, you must be enrolled in college education (for example in the direction of HRM) and you want to do an internship from September 2020.
