Security & Safety Thing is looking for a Lead product designer. You’ll work in cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment to create a camera IoT platform and you will lead by example showcasing the product design best practices across the teams. You will promote the combination of the top-level digital product practice with a human-centered approach that identifies and solves existing and emerging needs for our customers.
Our ideal team member? You have 7 years of work experience designing digital products and 3 years of experience mentoring other designers on digital product design skillsets. You guide and align teams from concept to launch, evaluation to iteration. You are passionate about helping people learn and translating complex system to simple and delightful user experience.
You will:
Support cross-functional product teams by applying your craft in a hands-on manner whilst delivering: conceptual design, user research, wireframing and UI prototyping, detailed design, design system, user testing and implementation.
Driving the solution vision based on business and user insights
Developing visual designs and ensuring that the solution in development aligns to company and product brand standards
Partner with product leads, engineers to oversee the development of products from concept through to launch
Your profile
5+ years of experience building excellent digital products.
A solid experience working in fast and intense environments in cross-functional teams.
Fluency and at a maturity level of fundamental digital product design skills.
A strong voice to advocate for the customers and have a long track record of gathering, synthesizing and applying user insights to your design.
Storytelling at a fluent level and you are able to have an immediate impact on the organization.
A good level of business acumen and have a strong understanding of product business requirements and capable to translate that into a tangible design.
An excellent communication skill, you know how to get buy-in from stakeholders with your ideas on our platform.
Collaborative mindset and comfortable with non- hierarchical organizations.
