For iOS app development at Virta, we are working mainly with Swift, and for Android development we use Kotlin. The common technologies between the platforms are Kotlin Multiplatform, Git, REST API, DevOps, CI/CD tools (Bitrise, Bamboo, Bitbucket Pipelines), and modern dependency management libraries. We are also following SOLID principles, test-driven approach, and MVVM architecture. We are also looking forward to using new tools and technologies to give the best user experience and reliable service to our end-users.

Responsibilities:

• Cooperate with the developers and product managers and build advanced end-user applications for the iOS platform
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use and ship new features.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Ensure the highest quality of the products in term of performance and security
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Requirements:

• Have published one or more iOS/Android apps in the app store
• Working experience in Swift, Kotlin, Git, REST API, DevOps, CI/CD tools (Bitrise, or others), dependency management libraries
• Experience in any backend languages is a plus, some of the server-side technologies we use at Virta are PHP 7, Node.js, C#, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS.
• Your interest in automating repetitive manual tasks is important. Our team is maintaining and developing 50+ different versions of our applications.
• Familiar with SOLID coding and test-driven approach, MVVM architecture
• Good communication skills and the ability to document things systematically and professionally
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Fluency in English, as it is the main working language at Virta
• Current residence inside the EU
