15th European Parking Congress

This year EPA celebrates 28 years of activity and is holding its 15th International Congress. From small beginnings, the  Association has come a long way, growing in size, activity and stature, and today the EPA Congress is unquestionably the most important international parking event in Europe. This year the Congress will reach a new level and marks a strategic change in EPAs development. The EPA in all its forms, together with AIPARK, the Italian Parking Association, are making every effort to ensure the Congress is a worthwhile and enjoyable event.
The Congresss theme is Parking: the new deal. This enables us to address wider issues of urban mobility alongside detailed parking matters, allowing us the chance to show that parking is not a huge problem, but a huge opportunity. The congress (14th - 16th September 2011) will debate how the European cities can be accessed and used, integrated mobility planning, the new developments in automobile production, the necessity of using parking as a tool within the urban mobility system and how all this reflects on both management opportunities and urban and operational economics.

This wider theme is already attracting a lot of interest with major Italian institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment, the Piedmont Region, the City of Torino, the Italian Association of Municipalities, CONFCOMMERCIO (the association of Italian retailers), the Comitato Italia 150, lending their support. The Congress will also be part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Italian Unity.

As always, the Congress marks the biannual presentation of the EPA Awards and the 34 entries received this year shows how much interest there is in these awards.

The Congress will be accompanied by a major trade exhibition and an important group of exhibitors have already confirmed their presence, but for those interested there is still space available.

EPA and AIPARK are extremely grateful for all the support we are receiving from sponsors. This enables us to make the event more attractive while ensuring that delegates fees are lower than those charged even 6 years ago.
