Central Parking Releases Mobile App for Android Phones - Searching for Parking Just Got Easier
Searching for parking in the city can be frustrating and difficult, especially when you are in a hurry. Central Parking System, Inc. (Central) has released a new Android app, which helps drivers search for Central Parking locations while on-the-go. Similar to the popular iPhone parking app, which Central released last November, the Android version is FREE and can be downloaded through the Android Market or from Central Parkings website
Centrals parking app provides all the essential information needed to plan a trip. Consumers can search for Central locations in over 50 cities across the United States, as well as find information on rates, entrance location, and amenities that are available at each parking facility. With full GPS functionality, consumers can also use the app to navigate to the parking location. The integrated Take Me There feature interfaces with Google Maps and provides turn-by-turn driving directions.
After seeing the success of our iPhone app, we knew the next logical product extension was the introduction of an Android version, said Vincent Raguseo, Vice President of Marketing at Central. The launch of the new Android app, coupled with our previously launched iPhone app, puts Central front and center with 85% of U.S. Smartphone users.
Savvy shoppers in the New York City area can also use the Android app to access coupons for hourly parking. The mobile coupons offer discounts of up to 50% on parking services at over 100 metro area locations. Customers can redeem their discount by simply showing their device to the parking attendant upon exit. Central will soon be expanding the mobile coupon capability to additional cities in the U.S.
