Intelligent Parking Company Metric Appoints New Head to Drive Launch of Its Unique Software Solutions

Plans by the Metric Group to develop a software solution that is unique to the UK parking sector have accelerated with the appointment of its new head of business development, Sharon Silcock.

The intelligent parking company has made the strategic hire as part of plans to expand its services, bringing to market pioneering software that will launch this summer.

Sharon joins the Swindon-based firm with over 10 years’ experience across the public and private parking sectors, including senior sales positions for Imperial Civic Enforcement Solutions, Taranto Systems and, more recently, Unity Five (ZatPark).

She will work alongside Metric’s established software developers and is set to visit International destinations to collaborate with experts on the new platform.

Her unrivalled experience and knowledge of parking software and of the industry’s requirements make her a real asset. “I can’t wait to work with Metric’s global software experts and advise them of the essential functional requirements of this sector. Metric has a long history in the UK for payment products and it is fantastic to be part of this new enhancement for the company. We will be able to offer something unique and completely different to the industry that will certainly enhance the parking and transportation experience for the customer.”

Metric’s new solutions will be officially unveiled at PARKEX in June 2023. Metric will also be exhibiting at the IPC Annual Conference in 2023.
