Rachel Yoka Recognized as Parking Professional of the Year

TimHaahs is pleased to announce the recognition of Rachel Yoka, LEED AP BD+C, CNU-A, CPSM as the International Parking Institute’s Parking Professional of the Year.

Part of IPI’s annual Professional Recognition Program, the award honors parking industry professionals who exemplify excellence in the industry and who are changing the perception of parking through their actions and organizational programs.

Rachel serves as TimHaahs’ Vice President of Strategic Business Planning and Sustainability. Throughout her career, Rachel has emerged a leader in the parking industry, seeking opportunities to advance the goals and vision of the industry on both a local and national level.

Rachel currently serves as co-chair of IPI's Sustainability Committee. Under Rachel’s leadership, the committee works to identify opportunities to educate the parking and transportation industry in sustainable practices and concepts. Rachel also serves as treasurer of the Pennsylvania Parking Association, and Certification Committee Chair of the Green Parking Council.

Rachel is also serving as Editor of the upcoming joint publication between IPI and the National Parking Association on sustainability. This groundbreaking book will be the first publication focused specifically on the relationship between sustainability and parking. It will help to advance vision of IPI and the perception of the parking industry related to sustainable parking policies.

IPI is the world’s largest association representing parking professionals and the parking industry. Winners of the Professional Recognition Program are selected by a committee of industry chairs. Winners were announced at this year’s annual conference in Phoenix, held June 10-13, which drew more than 2400 attendees.
