During the month of March, Scheidt & Bachmann has been awarded the upgrade of the car park control and management system of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, located in the famous Galician town, Spain.
This car park has been using Scheidt & Bachmann devices for more than 15 years, and once again entrusted our company for the renewal of the parking system. Initially, 2 entry devices, 2 exit devices, 4 barriers, 2 pay stations and 4 LPR cameras will be installed.
The car park is adjacent to the famous cathedral of Santiago. In 1985, the city's Old Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It stands out as one of the three major pilgrimage centers of Christianity, together with Jerusalem and Rome. The cathedral is the destination of hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world who make the Camino de Santiago every year.
Scheidt & Bachmann has a large presence in Galicia, where it has 62 facilities, five of them in Santiago de Compostela. The award of this project is a great incentive for Scheidt & Bachmann, and their expectations to continue growing in the area. We hope to be awarded many more facilities during 2019!
