John Oglesby joins MobileNOW! as Full-Time President & CEO

John Oglesby

MobileNOW!, the world-first and still industry-leading provider of customer-driven parking payments by mobile phone, has negotiated that John Oglesby is full time after only five months as a shared President and CEO.

John completed his tenure with Denison Parking for whom Oglesby continued to serve as the Vice President of Business Development and Technology Implementation.

This unique sharing of resources of two very different companies offered MobileNOW! direct access to the daily concerns of parking operators, which has helped the company continue to develop products and services addressing the real-time  needs of the parking industry. With Denison’s complete support, this interim arrangement ended with the Parking Industry Exhibition (PIE) show on March 17th. MobileNOW! is happy to announce John Oglesby assuming a full-time leadership role in the company.

Oglesby has already brought along several positive impacts. “John’s experience in parking, parking technology and transportation projects, his entrepreneurial spirit, and focus on client retention and continued company growth is a great fit. His fresh product ideas and feature initiatives will help MobileNOW! leap into the future. John is an outstanding business leader who brings a wealth of experience and keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the parking and transportation industry. We are delighted to have him fully involved and expand our reach while refining our mission,” says Krista Altok Tassa, the founder of MobileNOW!.

Oglesby noted, “The mobile payment industry is one I have been dealing with successfully since 2006 and I believe we can separate ourselves from this active and crowded field by focusing on becoming the first mobile phone parking system and app built by parking people for parking operators, cities, hospitals, and airports to truly serve the parking public. We understand the customer needs, deliver the best solution and will continue to focus on customers adopting the great convenience of MobileNOW!. MobileNOW!’s customer-focused culture is the critical factor that attracted me to this opportunity. Parking is the First and Last impression for anyone in a vehicle. MobileNOW! allows engaging with a customer earlier than is possible using traditional payment methods, thus making the whole parking experience better and more personalized.”

Oglesby has a proven track record of leading complex operations in North America. He has thirty years of parking and technology experience, including more than twenty-five years with Central Parking and Impark, as the President and COO of Aparc Systems, and as an independent consultant. He has multiple decades of experience in customer retention and innovation. John also lead the U.S. team for parking for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, and has specialized in Stadiums and Arenas as well as new technology development. John is active on committees for the National Parking Association and the International Parking Institute, and has presented numerous times at their conventions and trade shows. He also serves on the Business Council for Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. John is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma.
