MobileNOW! to Launch Mobile Payments in Easton, PA

MobileNOW!, a global technology innovator and world’s first mobile payment solution for parking, has announced an upcoming implementation in the city of Easton, Pennsylvania in all on-street metered spaces during Summer 2015.

Approximately 55 miles north of Philadelphia, Easton is comprised of four main districts: Historic Downtown, The West Ward, The South Side, and College Hill. The city is home to many historical-based events and venues and known for its famous children’s attraction, the Crayola Experience.

Easton’s mobile payment implementation is part of the city’s initiative to boost convenience for parkers and drive local business through MobileNOW!’s merchant validation program.

"The city is very excited about being able to offer this type of convenience for those that come to the city and choose to take advantage of this service,” said Lieutenant Matt Lohenitz of Easton’s Records and Traffic Division. “We feel it will be an excellent fit for the city as well as the merchants and public."

Residents and visitors will be able to park and pay by using the free MobileNOW! app or by calling a local phone number and following voice prompts. Customers will have the ability to extend their parking session remotely without returning to the meter before time expires.

MobileNOW! payments will integrate with Easton’s currently installed IPS single-space meters.

Now commuters throughout the Lehigh Valley, including Easton, can use the same mobile wallet to pay for parking at any location accepting MobileNOW! payments.
